Trokay Group is built on a foundation of providing our clients with guidance and management services as they embark on projects in the built environment. It is a consultancy and project management company founded on client advocacy and providing the highest level of service coupled with prudent, responsible guidance. The focus of the organization is to provide emerging companies with an alternative approach to the common practices in the market and to assist in the development of a program that reflects their needs as they emerge in the market in a scaled and most importantly, a relevant manner.

 

Where does the name Trokay come from?

Many people have asked where the name comes from. For one it is the base of the name Truckee, CA a place that has special significance to me personally. The name Trokay has many meanings and while there are many ideas about the derivation of the name Truckee, I found the most fitting to be that of a Paiute Native American Chief that would frequent the town now known as Truckee in the mid 1800's. He was a friendly and outgoing individual that helped many of the travelers over the treacherous Sierra passes to safety. He was known for his greeting as he would enter town. The story goes, that as he arrived in town, he would exclaim "Trokay". While many people felt this was his name and thus named him Chief Trokay, the actual meaning of the word is "All is Well or All will Be Well".

 

As I was trying to decide what my company represented, I wanted people to know that when they worked with me that they were in good hands and that "All is Well" and that I would help them through the quagmire of project work in the built environment.

 

It all seemed so fitting for how I approach each project and my work with my clients over the past 30 years, thus the name Trokay Group.
